ANAMBRA STATE 2014 GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION - APGA UK CHAPTER WARNS PDP, ACN AND OTHER CONTENDERS.

By Sir onyeka Mbaso

Anambra Governorship Election is in 2014, the messages are clear and APGA grassroots have been mobilized by the achievements of Gov Peter Obi in the State. APGA supporters are ready to vote and defend their votes for the progress of the State. Anambra State will not want to be like Abia State where voters are blaming themselves for voting PDP. APGA UK Chapter has made it clear that voting for PDP or ACN in 2014 in Anambra State Governorship Election is mortgaging the future of our generation. APGA will continue to be the investor in people through education.

We are all aware that PDP led government has failed Anambra State in the past and they will continue to do so if we give them the chance to occupy any electoral seat in 2014 and 2015. Recently opposition parties in the state have claimed that APGA is losing its grip in the State . The 2014 governorship election is the election that will speak for itself considering the massive transformation Gov Obi has done in the State. PDP and ACN should not be carried away because of the recent riggings that took place in the last by election.

The General Secretary of APGA UK Chapter Sir Onyeka Mbaso while speaking to APGA supporters in London after their General meeting, he described Governor Peter Obi as someone who serves as an example of integrity and loyalty. He highlighted to them the achievements of Mr Obi since he became Anambra State Governor. The handing over of the State owned schools to the missionary, equipped our hospitals and renovated some infrastructures. APGA's achievements in the state have influenced the grassroots supporters and it has set APGA to another level he added.

APGA UK Chapter is not disturbed by the recent criticism by some opposition parties on Governor Peter and Chief Sir Victor Umeh. Since Chief Sir Victor Umeh became the National Chairman of APGA, there has been enormous progress in APGA. APGA has two state governors, Senator, Seven House of Rep members and House of Assembly members. We are convinced that with all the achievements recorded by Gov Peter Obi and APGA that we are ready to take over the remaining South East States in the next general Election. Owelle Rochas Okorocha is doing tremendous works in Imo state and Imolites are happy because they voted APGA.

APGA UK Chapter Fin Sec Mr Mike Udeogba reminded PDP, ACN and other contenders that Anambra is an APGA State. That voters should not be distracted by the few road constructions done by Ex Gov Chris Ngige but should focus their minds on long terms achievements of Gov Peter Obi. Chris Ngige would have been worse than Ex Gov Mbadinuju if not that he was under pressure from the Ubahs. Retired civil servant pensions have been paid, massive road constructions in Anambra State and to name but a few by Gov Obi he said.

In her contributions towards APGA retaining Anambra State in 2014, the women Leader of the group Mrs Nneka Ndigwe described APGA as a party that has touched the lives of Anambra indigenes. She vowed to mobilize women in the State to make sure that other contenders do not grab a chance in the Election. What differentiates Gov Obi from other previous Governors is his ability to translate wisdom into action despite all oppositions and distractions she added.

Sir Mbaso, Vice Chairman Mr Ifeanyi Onukwube and all APGA UK Chapter members have maintained that APGA will produce a Governorship candidate that is credible, party loyalist and must not be adulterated. APGA Governors should carry on with their good governance so that our great party will take over the South East region come 2015 they said.
